Biography:
Stevan Stević was born on March 26, 1957, in Trnjaci, Brčko Municipality. He completed primary school in Trnjaci and Brezovo Polje (in 1972). He graduated from high school (in 1976) and the Faculty of Economics (in 1980) in Brčko. He earned his master's degree (in 1987) and Ph.D. (in 1992) in statistical sciences from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.
At the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, he was appointed as a junior assistant (in 1980), assistant (in 1982), and senior assistant (in 1987). He was elected as an assistant professor in 1993 at the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka, and as an associate professor (in 1998) and full professor (in 2006) at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko.
He was a member of the Classification Section of the Association of Statistical Societies of the SFR Yugoslavia and a collaborator with the Market Research Institute in Belgrade.
He participated in teaching processes at universities in East Sarajevo (Faculty of Economics Pale, Faculty of Philosophy Pale, Faculty of Transport Doboj), in Banja Luka (Faculty of Economics), and in Tuzla (Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation). Currently, in the first cycle of studies, he teaches at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko (in courses: Statistics, Economic Statistics, and Financial Mathematics) and at the Faculty of Business Economics in Bijeljina (in the course: Business Statistics). In the second cycle of studies, he teaches at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko (in the course: Quantitative Economics).
He has held positions as Vice-Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, Vice-Rector for Finance at the University of East Sarajevo, Minister of Education in the Government of Republika Srpska, and Director of the Agency for Standards and Evaluation in Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He participated in one-month study visits to the USA (in 1997) and England (in 2001). He was a member of the Council and Senate of the University of East Sarajevo and Head of the Department of Quantitative Economics at the university.
As an author and co-author, he has published several books and textbooks, as well as numerous scientific and professional papers in the fields of business economics, statistics, and actuarial science. He has participated as a leader and team member in projects in the fields of economics, management, tourism, and education. He has been a mentor and a member of committees for the evaluation and defense of doctoral dissertations and master's theses at universities in East Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Belgrade, and Novi Sad.
He contributed to the International Encyclopedia of Statistical Science, published in 2011 by Springer Verlag. He was a member of the Board of Economic Sciences of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska. He is part of the Academy's team for the creation of the Encyclopedia of Republika Srpska.Bibliography

Dr. Stević writes aphorisms, short stories, and poems. He has published fifteen books of aphorisms and one collection each of short stories and poems. He is featured in anthologies and encyclopedias of aphorisms.
